The greatest yogi can be who does not practice anything but lives in pure love.
Some awaken to the self, others embrace spirituality as well. There ascetic forms are more celebrative, some more scientific and more mystical, all are equally good. I would say that what is important, rather than a practice or standards of living, is a conscious attitude, a clear look and an open heart.
It is said that yoga is making life a spiritual practice. It is, because it is an attitude of acceptance, love and consciousness. But this is also related to the lessons of the Bhagavad Gita. It is a very profound text, which states that we must have a high awareness level, so that every act has our absolute attention. We connect with the infinite in action.

In most classes, the teacher demonstrates correctly first and you follow while the teachers ensures that there are no risks but all the benefits. Also in traditional yoga, you can find a mystical atmosphere of symbols, incense and images that cheer and inspire.
What to do in a yoga class?
Essentially, pause mental speech. Arrive in time to tune with the environment, listen to instructions and let the thoughts aside. You just need openness and good attitude. Gradually you will see that your body relaxes and stretches when your mind is relaxed. Try to keep fully aware what you are doing and try not to compare yourself with anyone. Focus on what you are and do not get distracted by what comes from the outside or give rope to your mind if you go to the future or the past. No offense if you corrected. In yoga there is no one ‘best’. Try not to judge if you face for the first time to a different language or some unknown techniques. Flowing, loose, relax, listen to your body and respect its limits, fully breathe through the nose and when you can close your eyes. If you lose your balance or you fail one positions, nothing happens. Yoga is a journey, not a goal. Laugh and try again. Have fun.
